Week 7 news writing

Natalia Schack Comm 200 Prof. Peter Lindmark Week 7 News writting  1) One sexy skirt women fights to be at one mans beck and call Tokyo, Japan (CNN) -- Nene Anegasaki is a witty, doe-eyed beauty. She looks perfectly perky in sexy skirts, doesn't pick fights and is always at one Tokyo man's beck and call -- that is why the 27-year-old decided to marry her. The only complication: She is a videogame character in the Nintendo DS game called "Love Plus." Still, that didn't stop Sal 9000 -- the only name the groom would give -- from marrying Nene in a ceremony witnessed live by thousands on the Web. When asked if Nene is his dream woman, Sal replied, "Yes, she is. Her character changes to my liking as we talk and travel to different places." Japan's Internet community has witnessed relationships and marriages to avatars, though it's typically been within the confines of the virtual world. Last month, Sal decided to be the first huma...

Week 6 news writing

Natalia Schack Prof. Peter Lindmark Comm 200 Newwritting 6   "BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD." According to Mental Floss , this quote was posted on their website in 2015. Ghandi actually never said this, but The New York Times changed it. The original was, “If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do”. The changed verison is, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. The only difference between the two is one is longer and one is shortened. The NYT’s shortened it so other people who aren't as intelligent as Ghandi could understand what he was trying to say. Misquoting someone can take away the significance of that person, and Gandhi isn't someone who had everyone's respect.  https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/68007/50-famous-misquotations-and-what-was-really-said   ...

Natalia Schack The entrance to a Minneapolis museum has been covered with 2,400 life jackets that refugees once wore Where did you first see it? I saw it first on my snapchat in my news subscriptions. Who (or what) brought it to your attention It was on many of my family and friends stories. Who created it? The Minneapolis art institute created the art, however, the news article it came from was from CNN.  Trace the timeline, compiling links from the originating content to your eyeballs (and where you shared it, if applicable). The CNN article was written on the 21st February 2020.  The Minneapolis art institute opened this exhibit on the 16th February 2020. Would you share this?  Why or why not? I would definitely share this with my friends and family, but a lot of them already know about the exhibit and have seen it already. Since I live in Fargo I have been unable to see it, but I do intend to see it. But y...
