I am going to use the theme of monstrosity. Monstrosity appears multiple times durning the film. Oh Dae-Su was just a regular person with a drinking problem, and being locked up for 15 years the way he was turned him into the monster he is now. A couple of examples are when he first got out he was placed on hotel roof and said, "Even though I'm no better than a beast, don't I have the right to live"? This explains how he know what he has become and doesn't know what he can do about it. Another example of him being a monster is his hair, his hair is so crazy and wild it looks like a beast. This really gives him the whole look and feel of a crazy messed up person. One the things that happened to him in prison that made him look very messed up and crazy, was the ants that came out of his skin and then was attacked by a million of them. Oh Dat-Su fought with the wall to practice becoming a good fighter for if he would need it one day when he got out. this was smart, but very crazy because he was just hurting himself. All of these examples helps explains the monstrosity that had become of of Oh Dae-Su.
