For this week’s New writing I chose Jenna Wortham, she speaks to me because she is a journalist who writes for the people. Jenna Wortham is also a journalist who still knows how to reach the younger audiences, and she hasn’t just wrote for just one platform she has written for multiple platforms. One of the reasons I follow her is that she is a female activist, and she shows and writes how women can be stronger in this society with technology and media. The thing I do not like about her writing is that she writes a lot from her point of view. This can be a good thing so people can understand what it is like, however, people like to read facts. One of the things that I really like about her writing is that she writes about all kinds of topics within technology and media. She covers how technology works and where they come to how much they cost in stores and how media affects that. Jenna Wortham has impacted the way I think or look at a certain topic. In a topic there are multiple points of view, facts and sources. One topic can be written by different people, and be turned into a whole different story. This will help me when I get to write my own journalism piece. Jenna Wortham is a great journalist.

  1. How sure are you that people enjoy reading facts? I'm not about to say that people don't enjoy facts, but they generally don't captivate audience the way that writing from one's point of view would. That said, there are ways to stay true to your point of view as well as share facts, it's just navigating how to arrive at that place.
    Overall well written, thank you.
