The article I chose to strongly disagree with is the, “Trump Rollback of Transgender Rights Extends throught the Whole Government” article was written by Lola Fadulu on December, 6th 2019. This article is about how the Trump administration is trying to revoke all of the rights and laws that Obama put in place. Transgender people have had to fight and wrestle with the fact that they were not alwasy going to be respected by everyone. However, Obama gave them a way to be safe, and to have the right just like every other american. With this new rollback, Trump will be taking away these rights and saftey from the transgender population. 

I was beyond happy to read this part of the article that said, “Last month, a United States district judge struck down a Health and Human Services Department rule that would, among other changes, expand the protections for health care workers who refuse to treat transgender patients if it clashed with their beliefs, the third judge to do so”(Trump 2019). I completely disagree with the thought that this rule could possibly be approved by the district of judges. When people become doctors they take the hippocratic oath. It says to do no harm and help everyone from injustice, however, with this rule doctors could have possibly been able to turn away a transgender person. Throughout this article it explains all of the things Trump has done to revoke the privileges and how the administration is following him. However, there are statements made that Trump is all for the L.G.B.T.Q community. I have never seen any evidence of this, all that is present is what someone has said. 

The Justice Departement had placed a roll back on the protection of transgender people within the federal prison systems. Belief has a lot to do with perspective on what to do, and how to go about doing something. As said in the article there was a christian private school that kicked out a transgender person becasue of what the school believed. In this case they thought this because of what the bible says, “God immutably bestows gender upon each person at birth as male or female to reflect His image”(Trump 2019). This may have been true many centuries ago, but this world has changed past anything we would have expected. As Americans we have been working to make these changes work, but people are unable to see that people can change and still be able to work things out.
