The B+ Foundation: A Children's Charity
B+(Be positive) is a charity that helps children with cancer. The charity started with one special little boy. His name is Andrew McDonough and his bold type is B+, and that's why they named the organization B+. According to the organization B+, “they are the largest provider of financial assistance to families of kids with cancer nationwide”(B+ 2020). This organization has helped support over 200 U.S hospitals like St. Jude, Seattle Children's, and Harvard's Medical Center. The advocacy and Co-founders of the Coalition Against Childhood cancer, and the Alliance of Childhood Cancer, these groups are helping nationally and donating to medical research and professionals. They have also increased private sector funding. According to B+, “46 children are diagnosed with cancer every school day, 4% of federal cancer research funding is dedicated to childhood cancer research, and 49 children will die this week from cancer”(B+ 2020). The most recent fundraiser they have done was at NDSU. Within the NDSU community, jars were distributed throughout residence halls to collect money with the competition of penny wars. This took place February 27th - March 6th, 2020, and has had lots of positive outcomes. The halls have been competing with each other to win the prize of a pizza party. B+(Be positive) website has reported all of the success students, families, and companies are doing to help raise money for these children. In the next couple of months it will be the 9th Annual Childhood Cancer Actions Day in Washington DC on June 9-10.
What's a bold type? Outside that, this is good. Make sure you read your work before submitting it.
